NACHI-FUJIKOSHI was founded as a tool manufacturer in the City of Toyama in December 1928 based on founder Kohki Imura’s philosophy that “Domestic ability to produce machine tools is fundamental to the development of Japan’s machine industry.” Ten years after its founding, the firm set up a steel mill and established an integrated production system covering aspects from materials to the final product.
Then, the firm expanded its operations into the fields of tools and bearing based on its quality materials. No other company in the world is so involved in machining equipment like tools, robots, bearings, hydraulic equipment, and materials.

- Manufacturing Process Assembly - Machining division
- NACHI-FUJIKOSHI realizes high speed efficient machining and renders all processes in conformity with the environment by means of an extensive product lineup as the only comprehensive manufacturer in Japan that integrates cutting tools, machine tools, materials, heat treatment, and coating technology.
In the robotic field, based upon our significant domestic achievements in spot welding, the Company supplies robots for arc welding, painting, handling, and automation. - Essential Components - Components division
- Bearings and hydraulic equipment are essential components that have important functions in automobiles, railroads, construction machinery, machine tools, electric equipment, and other devices. These components maintain safety, reliance, and cimfort, and have characteristics of being high performance, lighter, compact, and durable.
- Materials, Heat Treatment - Material division
- The NACHI Group's materials business is centered on high-speed tool steel and provides precision machining materials for various fields related to tools, blades, automobiles, electronics, and communication. The Group is also exploring industrial furnace and coating fields, and utiling enhanced material and thermo-technology to provide customers with higher quality products.
- Engineering Business
- We are enhancing our engineering service sites domestically and internationally, and we are expanding our combined engineering services for regrinding and recoating of tools, robots, machining equipment, heat treatment equipment, bearings, hydraulic equipment, and special steels.
